Hi All! I am so glad you are here reading my five tips for your big day.

First up on my list: PLAN AHEAD

Planning is so important. If you can hire a planner to help with your timeline and day of coordination, that would be recommended (and I have some great one to suggest to you!) But either way, plan ahead! You want everything to go smoothly but there will be some things that are out of your control. You’re your timeline wisely and consult your photographer with help planning your timeline to allow for the best photos possible. (One thing we can’t change is the time the sunsets, and that natural Arizona light provides for the perfect imagery). Planning extra time to relax and take breaks will allow the day to flow smoothly and leave room for any element that may not be running on time.

Second: DO YOUR HOMEWORK

When looking for vendors to help complete your vision, do your homework. Research questions to ask them, meet with them and find vendors that are invested in you and your day. I love helping my couples and talking with them about all the details. I also have worked with many other vendors and love referring them where I see fit. Anything that I can do to make my client’s day the best it can be, I am all in!

Third on the list: TRUST

You’ve spent months planning and choosing your vendors, colors, décor, gown, tux and countless other details. But remember, you chose these vendors and things for a reason. You have done your research and found the perfect photographer to capture it all for you and you share the same style and vision in mind. Trust your vendors that everything will go smoothly, and relax and enjoy every moment as it goes by so fast!

Fourth: GET SOME SLEEP

I know you’re anxious and excited and sleeping seems impossible. Turn off your phone. If you can’t sleep, write a letter to your fiancé about all your feelings of excitement and save it to give to him on your big day. Try to turn off your brain for the night and get some rest so the next day, you wake up feeling refreshed and ready to have fun and be married!

Fifth: ENJOY

Try not to stress. There will be a lot going on and many people who have come to help celebrate your love. Try to take a step back, evaluate your stress level and take a break to breathe if you need it. Try to take it all in and enjoy your night. Dance with your friends, have a drink, get in the photo booth, and just experience it as if you were a guest. At the end of the day, you will be married! (And that is so exciting, and really, all that counts )

I hope you enjoyed my top 5 tips. I can’t wait to hear about your big day and I would love to be a part of it.
