Studio family photography is the perfect way to freeze time and capture precious smiles and memories of your chilren at every stage. I believe family portraits should be captured at least once a year. Kiddos change and grow too fast! It is always so fun looking back on old images and remembering how little they once were, when they had a silly smile, missing teeth etc. Looking back at old photos brings so much joy to all and even will be enjoyed by generations to come. That is why family portraits are some of my favorite to create.

The Process

The beauty of family photography is that there is no ‘perfect time’ – every stage of life has its own special moments to treasure. Our sessions take place in North Phoenix, Arizona, making the most of the natural light.

Each Natural Light Family Photography session starts with a conversation where we get to know you, your family, and your hopes for the session.

On the day, I encourage you to simply enjoy being with your family as I capture those moments of love, laughter, and connection.

Within two weeks of your session, you’ll receive a link to a preview gallery of your images. Here, you’ll select your favourites that are included in your package, and you’ll have the option to purchase additional digitals, fine art prints, and products.

Reserving your spot is straightforward, with a $100 plus tax retainer fee. The balance is due on the day of your session.

How should we dress for the family photo session?

I recommend that you coordinate, but don’t match. Choose a color scheme and think about mixing patterns and textures for a more dynamic look. Most importantly, make sure everyone feels comfortable in their outfits!

What happens if our kids don't behave on the day of the session?

Don’t worry! I’m very experienced working with kids and I know that they can be unpredictable. I strive to make the session fun and relaxed for them, and we’ll take breaks if necessary. My goal is to capture their true personalities, not to force them to pose.

What time of day is best for a natural light family photo session?

The golden hours, which are early in the morning or late in the afternoon, offer the most flattering natural light for photography. However, we can discuss and decide on the best timing for your family during our consultation.

Can we bring props to our family photo session?

Absolutely! Props that hold significance to your family can add a lovely personal touch to your images. Whether it’s a family heirloom, favourite books, or a special toy, feel free to bring along any items you’d like included in your photos.

When will I receive the images from my session?

Within two weeks of your session, I’ll send a link to preview your images. You can then select the images included in your pre-purchased package, and any additional digitals, fine art prints, and products can be purchased at that time.

How do I book a session?

To book a session, you can contact us directly. A $100 plus tax retainer fee is due to reserve your session on our calendar, with the balance due at the time of your session.
