The Process

The best time to photograph your newborn is within the first 21 days, while they’re still in that sleepy, curly newborn stage.

Each Newborn Photography Phoenix session starts with a chat where we get to know you, your style, and your hopes for the session.

On the day, you can sit back and relax as we create a calming environment to capture those adorable baby yawns, tiny fingers and toes, and the beautiful bond between you and your baby. I will guide your baby into those sweet baby led poses allowing to showcase their every detail perfectly. I allow babies to have a stretch and lay comfortably and then I help position them. Parents always love these images because it always seems to mimic how the baby was when they were in the womb. “My baby always had his arms up by his face, just like that, in our ultrasounds.”

I recommend booking just after your 20 week scan. A $100 (plus tax) retainer fee is due to reserve your session on my calendar and I pencil you in for a day around your due date. Because we don’t know exactly when baby will make their debut, we would keep in touch and move your session accordingly, if necessary. Last minute bookings are always welcome, pending availability.

Within two weeks of your session, I send a link to preview your images. You will select the number of images included in your pre-purchased package and additional digitals, fine art prints and products can also be purchased at that time. Final touches will be made on your images and they will be delivered to you shortly thereafter.

We want your baby to be comfortable and natural. That’s why we usually photograph them swaddled or lightly dressed with the adorable props and accessories we have in our studio.

Ensure your baby is well-fed and sleepy upon arrival. A warm bath before coming to the studio might also help your little one feel relaxed and ready for their close-up.

How long does a Newborn Photography Phoenix session take?

Our newborn sessions typically last 1-2 hours depending on the package you choose. This time allows for feedings, changes and, of course, those comforting cuddles in between shots.

Can we include siblings in the newborn photography session?

That’s why we have carefully designed different package options that allow you to incorporate your spouse and children into the session. What happens if my baby needs a break for feeding or changing during the session?

No worries at all! Our sessions are baby-led, which means we follow your newborn’s cues and take breaks for feeding, changing, or comforting as needed.

What safety measures do you take during the newborn session?

Your baby’s safety is our utmost priority. We ensure the studio is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before each session. Also, all poses are done in the safest manner, with baby’s comfort in mind.

Do I need to bring any props or outfits for my baby?

We provide all the props and accessories for the session. However, if you have any special heirloom or sentimental items you’d like to incorporate, feel free to bring them along.
