I started my journey into photography helping my Mom, a former CT wedding photographer. I started by carrying her bags when I was just twelve and assisting her on weddings. Eventually I convinced her to let me take some photos too and shoot with her. (Back then it was all film and well, film is very expensive so you don’t want to waste any shots!) But she let me, and I feel and love… Weddings are so much fun and excitement, and oh all the feels…I am such a hopeless romantic and loved being a part of the happily ever after’s.
After graduating high school, I went onto college and completed my bachelors in education while still taking photography classes along the way. I moved out to AZ and started my career as a high school math teacher, all while still taking on photography clients, weddings, families, seniors, etc. when I could. I completed my Masters degree in Administration and had my first baby girl. Life was busy. Fast forward to my second baby. I feel like I have been pregnant and/or breastfeeding for a lifetime. Being a mom is no joke, its constantly being needed and the long hours that weddings entails wasn’t an option for my family. I continued my love and passion for photography with maternity, newborn, family and studio sessions… But I am happy to say, my kids are growing big and while they still NEED mommy, especially when she is cooking dinner, making a phone call, or trying to pee…. They are big enough to be without me for long enough to take on weddings again!
I am excited to continue my journey as a maternity and newborn photographer but am also excited to be able to add weddings back into my business. Friends and followers, I am beyond excited for the weddings I have on the books this year and cannot wait to show you some gorgeous imagery, and Cheers to a few more weddings and elopements in 2018-2019!
