The Process

Before your session, we’ll have a consultation to understand your family’s style, personalities, and what you hope to achieve from the session.

On the day, we’ll meet at the chosen outdoor location in Phoenix. We’ll create a relaxed and enjoyable environment to capture beautiful and authentic images of your family.

Within two weeks of your session, you’ll receive a preview link to your images. Here, you’ll select the images included in your package, and you’ll have the option to purchase additional digitals, fine art prints, and products.

To secure your Family Outdoor Photography session, a retainer fee of $100 plus tax is required. The balance is due on the day of your session.

A family outdoor session typically lasts about 1-1.5 hours. This allows plenty of time for group photos, individual portraits, and candid shots. We’ll also take breaks as needed, especially when young children are involved.

Is there a best time of day for outdoor family sessions?

The best time for outdoor family sessions is usually during the “golden hour” – the first hour after sunrise or the last hour before sunset. This is when natural light is soft, warm, and most flattering. However, we can work around your family’s schedule and choose the most convenient time that still ensures beautiful photos.

What if my child is shy or uncooperative on the day of the session?

Don’t worry, it’s completely normal for children to feel a bit shy or overwhelmed during a photoshoot. As a family-friendly photographer, I have experience in engaging with children of all ages. We’ll take the time needed to make sure your child feels comfortable and at ease. Remember, sometimes the most authentic photos come from these unexpected moments.

What should we do to prepare for the session?

Before the session, it’s helpful to talk with your family about what to expect and get everyone excited about it. On the day of the session, ensure everyone is well-rested and fed. Bringing snacks or toys for younger children can also be helpful. Above all, come ready to have fun and create beautiful memories together!

Do we get to choose the location of the shoot?

Yes, you can definitely suggest a location that’s special to your family. Alternatively, if you’re unsure, I can recommend some beautiful outdoor locations in Phoenix that would serve as fantastic backdrops for your family photos.

How do I book a session?

To book a session, you can contact us directly. A $100 plus tax retainer fee is due to reserve your session on our calendar, with the balance due at the time of your session.

What if we need to reschedule the session?

We understand that life happens and sometimes you may need to reschedule. We’re flexible and will work with you to arrange a new date for your session.
